Product Review Blog – Colorado Aromatics Sole Pleasure Foot Butter
By: Bridget Hobart, local runner and triathlete
After spending this past winter running and as usual, neglecting my feet, I’ve ended up with two very cracked heels, scaly skin and blisters all over my feet. I’ve started testing Colorado Aromatics Sole Pleasure Foot Butter. I can say first of all, it quickly helped turn my tootsies around in time for sandal season.
As one of Colorado Aromatics first products made, I couldn’t wait to give it a try. Formulator, Dr. Cindy Jones, says it prevents and protects dry, cracked or rough skin with deeply penetrating emollient botanical oils. Sounds awesome, right?
After one week of using with this balm I am able to wear flip-flops without feeling self-conscious. My heels aren’t as cracked or dry as they were, and there’s a definite decline in skin flakiness around the tops of my feet and toes.
A hefty 2 oz. tube of the stuff costs just $9.75, a great price for an all-natural, effective farm-to-skin product.
But back to this miracle in a tube. The star ingredients in the Sole Pleasure are the herbs; comfrey, calendula, mint. These herbs help regenerate skin cells to heal those cracks and soften skin to prevent cracking. Also, Shea butter, one of the best moisturizing, anti-aging, regenerating and protecting oils in the world! It protects your skin from UV damage, harsh climate, dehydration and pollution damages. It strengthens your skin by stimulating the production of collagen, which is the youthful scaffolding protein in your skin.
Along with the Shea Butter, Colorado Aromatics uses black seed oil, said to be the ‘cure all’ oil. It is anti-inflammatory and moisturizing so helps makes Sole Pleasure feel delightful when applying. This foot butter also has tea tree oil, eucalyptus oil, orange peel oil and rosemary oil. A perfect combination in my opinion.
For best results, this heavy foot butter is best used at night with socks before going to bed. That way the goodness is trapped where it is needed. It doesn’t take much because this is an oily product.
It works fast, smells great and made my feet respectable once more. This is a great product for runners, even barefoot runners. Big props, Colorado Aromatics, for creating this natural, affordable beauty gem. Blog Rating: A+
